What is Ledgis (LED)

LEDGIS is a project to create a decentralized ecosystem through blockchain technology. Dapp providers in the center of the ecosystem are given the power and incentives to create blocks. This feature sets itself apart from any other existing blockchain projects. Not only that, the private and the public blockchain are connected to each other by IBCT, and have technical characteristics of connecting with a variety of values. Application technologies such as DID, IPFS, Key Management System, and Defi, all come into play so that Dapp providers are able to provide various Internet-based services.

On May 31, 2021, IBCT announced that they officially listed the LEDGIS-based Decentralized ID (DID) as a global standard. DID is a technology that allows the convenient and secure storage and management of user data in a blockchain. The technology guarantees user access to personal data within the blockchain instead of relying on a 3rd party.
Ledgis-based technology was listed on both the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)'s DID Method Specification and Decentralized Identity Foundation's (DIF) Universal Resolver registries.
